Answers:

Q: How do I sell my work?

A: First read the information on the Sell Your Models page. You will then navigate to the Upload Models page. Follow the instruction there to upload your models. If you still require assistance click on Contact Us from the main menu at right. One of our representatives will be happy to help you.

Q: Does it cost me anything to put my work on sketchupmodels.com?
A: No, loading your work on sketchupmodels.com is free!

Q: How much money can I make from my models?
A: That depends on a number of factors such as the quality of your model, the demand, and the number of models you have posted. We pay royalties equal to 50% of the sales price. You choose the prices for your work!

Q: What if I want to make my models available for free?
A: Simply list the price as $0.00 when you submit the file and we’ll know you want to make this a free model.

Q: What types of digital products can I upload?
A: Anything supported by the program SketchUp from @ Last Software including scripts and textures. If you are confused about what is and what's not supported, please contact support@sketchupmodels.com or select Contact Us from the main menu.

Q: How do I get paid?
A: Royalty payment(s) will be processed at the end of each month for the products sold within the previous month. Currently, there are two options for the method of payment: check or PayPal. If an artist chooses to receive payments by check, there is also an option to withhold payment until a certain dollar amount is reached. This is helpful for some international sellers who have to pay fees to cash checks from the U.S.

Q: How do I remove my work from this site?
A: You may remove your work at any time. Simply contact support@sketchupmodels.com or select Contact Us from the main menu. Make sure to include your name and a detailed description of the files to be removed.

Q: Will I have access to sales and statistical information on my models?
A.: You will receive a report from us with your royalty check or via e-mail when a deposit is made to your PayPal account. You may not receive a report if none of your models have sold in the previous month. Contact support@sketchupmodels.com or select Contact Us from the main menu. We’ll be happy to answer any questions about your account.

Q: Where are my models stored?
A: Products are stored on the sketchupmodels.com servers, which are always available on the Internet and provide a quality of service unavailable with peer-to-peer file sharing.

Q: How long will it take my models to appear on the page after I submit them?
A: Our normal time to post models is 2-5 days; however, if we receive an exceptionally large number of models during the week, it could be slightly longer. Each model is individually reviewed by a technician to ensure quality and continuity within the site.

Q: How do I know how much to charge for my models?
A: Unfortunately it is impossible to make blanket statements about model pricing. There are just too many factors that should rightly influence the price of a model. Please read our suggestions for model pricing on the Submit Your Work page or read on to find out how we can price your work for you.

Q: What if I don't want to choose a price for my models?
A: No problem, just write "Pricing Department" instead of listing a price when you submit your pieces. We’ll select the price which we feel will generate the most profit.

Q: Do you accept all the models you are sent?
A: If your model has been rejected, you have received an e-mail apologizing and explaining why. There are a few reasons this may happen. The e-mail you received most likely suggested a course of action… such as reconsidering your price or fixing some aspect of the submission. If you feel you have resolved the problem, reply to the e-mail with the modifications. We will then reevaluate your submission.
